February 2020

Saturday, February 8, 5:30-7:30 PM
I’m playing as part of a trio (with Bob Shepherd and Jeff Link) at the launch of Hudson Festival Orchestra and talking a bit about my approach to jazz-klezmer fusion. This event is by invitation only.

As part of the Williams College Chamber Players, the college’s faculty chamber ensemble, I will perform Brahms Clarinet Quintet. This free performance will be held at Williams College’s Brooks Rogers Recital Hall, Bernhard Music Center, 54 Chapin Hall Drive, Williamstown, MA.

Also performing will be the Broad Street Orchestra strings, English hornist Nathaniel Fossner and harpist Kathryn Sloat. Presented by Concerts in the Village at The School, 25 Broad Street, Kinderhook, NY.

March 2020

We’ll perform composer David Schiff’s retelling of the biblical story behind Purim which I commissioned for the Gold Coast Chamber Music Festival in 1996. The score has been described as including “jazzy syncopations, klezmer-like melodies and a Bernsteinesque Broadway hustle-bustle.” If you’re near Long Island, join us at the North Country Reform Temple, 86 Crescent Beach Road, Glen Cove, NY.

Friday, March 13, 7:30 PM
I will join the Berkshire Symphony Orchestra in a program that features the key of C with Bizet, Symphony in C Major; Mozart, Piano Concerto No. 13; and Stravinsky, Symphony in C. This free performance will take place Williams College, Chapin Hall, 62 Chapin Hall Drive, Williamstown, MA.
